Glad to see more hours. We really need hours for the kids. Swimming lessons would be awesome .

Join ODR for a 2-day canoe expedition of the Black Canyon in Nevada (just south of Lake Mead)! Launching from the base of the Hoover Dam, we will explore the wonders of Black Canyon and soak in natural hot springs and geothermal features. You might see desert bighorn sheep, hawks, lizards, and if we're very lucky, bald eagles! Paddlers will have the opportunity to explore small caverns, grottos, and hidden coves along the banks of the river. Paddling on the Colorado through Black Canyon is relaxing flatwater, with smooth and glassy waters, and the occasion current, but no rapids. After the first day of leisurely paddling, we will be having a river side camp out on the beach next to the Colorado River, where ODR will prepare a specialty backcountry dinner next to a warming fire under the stars.

All camping and canoe gear/equipment and meals will be provided by ODR. All participants will be issued a solo tent and sleeping system unless they are from the same household.

We will be launching at 0800 on Saturday, April 22nd . Participants may choose to hitch a ride in the van with ODR, meet ODR at a provided campsite on the evening of April 21 st or stay in local accommodations the night of the 21st at their own expense. We will be done around 1530 on Sunday afternoon.

$150 for Active Duty Airmen/Guardians/Dependents (R4R)
-registration begins 21 MAR
$250 for All others
