Backpacking 101: Joshua Tree
Join Outdoor Recreation for an opportunity to trek into the back-country of Joshua Tree National park! The group will enjoy the incredible landscape with boulders to scramble in the day and a star-riddled night sky with hardly any light pollution for the ultimate star viewing pleasure. This will be a guided backpacking trip along a relatively level terrain and a great program for all levels of experience. If you are a beginner, this is a great trip to challenge yourself and see if backpacking is right for you under Outdoor Recreation guides’ expertise.

Itinerary
- Day 1.
- The group will depart from Los Angeles AFB to a campground in Joshua Tree National Park where we will camp for the night.
- Day 2.
- The group will wake up and head into the park to begin our 7-mile round trip trek that tours through the best Joshua NP has to offer. We will have an option to scramble boulders before settling into a space in the back country.
- Day 3.
- The group will breakdown camp, finish our trek, and drive back to Los Angeles AFB to arrive at 1700 Sunday night dependent on traffic.
