Voting Assistance Workshop

Attention All LA AFB Unit Voting Assistance Officers (UVAOs) The Federal Voting Assistance Program (FVAP) is scheduled to conduct a Voting Assistance Workshop at Los Angeles AFB on 20 May 2024. All UVAOs are required to attend. The Workshop is designed to train all Voting Assistance Officers (VAOs) operating at the installation or unit levels. The Workshop will last approximately two hours and intended to be an interactive hands-on training session. Both Congress and the DoD Inspector General have emphasized the importance of all VAOs receiving comprehensive training on how to perform these voting assistance duties.

The Workshop will provide the VAO and other attendees with the critical information on the voting process, resources and tools needed for the successful performance of VAO duties and ultimately the success of the voter in participating in the electoral process. Attending an FVAP Workshop is the best way for VAOs to learn this information and receive answers to their questions from subject matter experts at FVAP. All units with 25 or more military personnel assigned are required to have a UVAO.
