Federal Voting Assistance Program (FVAP)
FVAP works to ensure Service members, their eligible family members and overseas citizens are aware of their right to vote and have the tools and resources to successfully do so – from anywhere in the world.
The Federal Voting Assistance Program exists to:
- Assist military and overseas citizen voters exercise their right to vote – no matter where they are.
- Assist the States in complying with relevant federal laws by providing current information.
- Reduce obstacles to military and overseas voting success.

Installation Voting Assistance Office (IVAO)
The Military and Family Readiness Center is now the IVAO for all installations. There you may receive FVAP training, voting information specifically for your state, and the proper forms and processes to use in order to ensure your ability to vote from almost anywhere in the world.
